Salerno is beautiful year round!!
Spring (April–June) and early autumn (September–October) offer warm weather without the crowds.
Summer is popular for beach lovers, while winter, especially December and January, is magical during the Luci d’Artista, a famous festival of lights that transforms the city into a glowing wonderland.
Yes! Salerno is the best spot for exploring the region:
-Ferries run regularly from Salerno port to Amalfi, Positano, and Capri (seasonal).
-Trains quickly take you to Pompeii, Naples, and Paestum.
-Buses and private drivers are also available year-round.
Yes — that’s one of the reasons people love it here! Compared to towns like Positano, Amalfi, or Capri, Salerno offers much better value for accommodation, food, and transportation. You’ll find:
-Affordable restaurants and cafés where locals eat;
-Lower-priced ferries and trains;
-Apartments with more space for less money.
It’s the perfect mix of local charm, coastal beauty, and smart spending!!

Not at all! Salerno is very walkable, and most major attractions are easy to reach by ferry, train, or bus. In fact, parking can be tricky (and expensive) along the Amalfi Coast, so we recommend using public transport or ferries — it’s easier, cheaper, and more scenic.

5. GetYourGuide or Viator
Explore and book tours, skip-the-line tickets, and activities: Pompeii, Paestum, Amalfi Coast boat trips, cooking classes — all with reviews and clear cancellation policies.
